Pyke is a lithe, tall, man with elven appearance predominantly noted by his long, pointed ears. Like most Solari, his hair is a gradient pattern and his eyes are bright and warm similar to a sun. He typically wears a golden gauntlet on his right arm.

As a teenager, Pyke was taught of Alara the Lightbringer and joined a community worshipping this goddess, eventually choosing to become her disciple and starting a path of connection with the goddess. This wasn't to last, however, as his mentor was assassinated by corporate authorities and died in Pyke's arms, in turn leading to the end of this community and Pyke starting to distance himself from connecting to people.
It was a lesson that was reinforced further after Pyke ended up working for the Polaris Society - being trained and slowly indoctrinated as an assassin who would carry out their orders without question. But in the process of this, one of his missions went horrible wrong and Pyke and his entire team were killed by a being known as Cain.
So it was a bit of a surprise to Pyke that he revived after his death. But even if his body had been restored, his mind had been badly effected by the trauma of his death and Pyke could no longer work as the Polaris Society expected of him. He attempted one more mission at the behest of Ophelia, another member of the Society he had come to have feelings for, but experienced a panic attack and abandoned the mission. A move that resulted in the deaths of Ophelia's entire team with herself only narrowly surviving.
In his lowest point, alone and drifting again, Pyke met Rett, a bounty hunter, and the pair of them ended up working together and forming a close friendship. So much so that when Pyke was arrested during an investigation into the drug Redline and sent to prison, Rett waited for him to get out and was first to pick him up.
Along with Rett and a fairly motley crew of friends found along the way, the new crew of The Rhapsody works on completing bounties and continuing their focus on tracking down the source of Redline.
